Ada perkembangan menarik! Kerja pendawaian sudah bermula! Pekerja Mr Chin telah letak kotak pendawaian sepanjang bangunan (yg berwarna oren di dalam gambar tu). Pada masa depan, kami akan ada CAHAYA! Dan tengoklah pintu kaca kami (dan Kimi sedang tangkap gambar heh). Monyet pun suka pintu ni - Krew KA sudah perhatikan mereka tengok diri dia di pintu (macam bergaduh dengan diri sendiri pun ada... pelik juga). 
Exciting progress - wiring and cabling has begun! Mr Chin's team put in the casings that will hold the wires that will give us LIGHT! (those orange strips on the ceiling). And check out our new door - this is for the reception area (you can see Kimi in the reflection). It seems the monkeys are enjoying their reflection too. Or... fighting with themselves in it haha!

Pada hari ni di KANHC, kami ada lawatan oleh En. Hisham (sekarang di UEM, dahulu di IRDA). En. Hisham lah yang bagi kami semangat pada tahun 2015 untuk sambung usaha di Kelab Alami, dan mencari jalan dan peluang dari pembangunan yang naik sekiling kami. Hari ni, beliau singgah pasar dan warung bersama kawan2nya, dan melawat site untk dapat lebih matlamat ttg impian kami. Harap2 kami dapat kerjasama lagi satu hari - terima kasih En.Hisham sudi datang!
Today at KANHC, we had a visit by En. Hisham (now at UEM, formerly at IRDA). En. Hisham was the one who gave us the strength to continue Kelab Alami when we thought of shutting it down in 2014. He taught us to make use of the developments around us, and find a way to participate in and benefit from it. Today he stopped by our market and warung, then popped by KANHC to find out its progress and hear our vision for it. Thank you En. Hisham, for being a part of our world - and for bringing your friends to see us too!

Team Dron Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor (LPJ) singgah site hari ni untuk tangkap gambar pengubahan. Yang paling terang adalah bumbung yang baru naik. Masa pertama mereka hadir, bumbung pun tiada. Dapatlah gambar2 ni - sebab kami tiada dron! Thank you team LPJ sudi tolong... 
The Drone Team of the Johor Port Authority (LPJ) stopped by the site today to take photos of recent progress. The biggest difference of course is the roof! When they first came to see the site (and help with the clean up!) there was no roof at all. There's been so much difference since. Thank you Drone Team for helping us out!

Bangunan kami sudah ada bumbung, tingkap dan paip untuk tadah air hujan! Banyak lagi kesan kerja Mr Low dan team dia. Tempat ini macam dibagi nyawa baru... Yang paling hebat, Mr Low ada juga guna bahan2 yang dikitar semula, contoh besi yang dikutip dari projek lama. Walaubagaimanapun, keselamatan kami diutamakan. Paip tadah air (rainwater harvesting), juga akan tolong kami jimat air dan adalah salah satu cara untuk kurangkan impak kami ke bumi. 
Roof, windows & rainwater harvesting pipes are up! More signs of progress on site as our super-efficient contractor, Mr Low hustles his men to quickly put in windows and roof - giving this old building new life. In line with our plan to be as environmentally-friendly as possible, Mr Low uses some upcycled and recycled materials (while ensuring maximum safety at all times) and our rainwater harvesting pipes will also allow us to store water for dry days.

Inilah gotong-royong yang terakhir sebelum PKPB bermula. Jutaan terima kasih kepada Tam sekeluarga (termasuk isterinya, anak2nya dan adiknya, serta Youth Rangers yang masih muda sekali: Adam & Ayen sudi tolong kami hangkut pokok, tanah dan sebagainya dari parit dan longkang sekeliling bangunan. Kerja ini mesti diselesaikan jadi tidak bertakung air. Memang kerja berat... mungkin kami perlu mintak tolong JCB!
Last gotong-royong before CMCO is reinstated! A million thanks to Tam & family, as well as 2 of our Youth Rangers (Adam & Ayen) for their help in clearing the drains - we need to get the roots and mud out so that the water can flow and they can build the septic tank and fix the drainage. It's a lot of work... maybe we need to call in a JCB!

Kerja memasang wayar elektrik sudah mula! Jutaan terima kasih kepada Mr S.K. Chong daripada Sheng Net Electrical Engineering atas runding yang baik dan bebesar hati - dan kerja yang sangat ligat dan cepat! Tak lama lagi... kami akan ada cahaya!!! 
Wiring work has begun! Many thanks to our contractor Mr S.K. Chong of Sheng Net Electrical Engineering for his generosity, understanding and super-speedy work! Very soon... there will be light!!

Pembinaan & pengubahsuaian bermula hari ni. Terima kasih Mr Low daripada Uang Soon Hock Awning Enterprise yang kerjasama dengan kami untuk dapatkan harga yang sangat menolong bajet ketat kami. Yang paling menarik ialah: Mr Low mengguna barang yang pernah diguna di projek dan bangunan lain. Maksudnya, kami upcycle bangunan betul2 dgn barang semulajadi... Yaaaayy!!!
Construction began today. Many thanks to Mr Low of Uang Soon Hock Awning Enterprise who is working with us to give us what we need at such a great cost that meets our super-limited budget. The best part of the whole deal is that Mr Low uses recycled materials gathered from past projects and buildings. This means that we are not only upcycling the building but we are also using recycled (but safe!) materials to do the job... Yahooooo!!!

Kami dari Kelab Alami mengucapkan ribuan terima kasih kepada Educity dan NMUC kerana sudi menghulurkan bantuan menjalankan aktiviti gotong royong di Kelab Alami Nature & Heritage Centre pada 8 November 2020. Nasib baik aktiviti dapat dijalan sebelum PKPB bermula. Terima kasih kepada nelayan Cik Angah kerana sudi membantu bungkus makanan untuk sukarelawan.
Kelab Alami would like to thank EduCity and NMUC for their support and volunteers for the gotong royong on 8th November 2020. Fortunately, the activities were carried out before the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO. Thanks to fisherman Cik Angah for helping to pack lunch for the volunteers.

Update untuk hari ke2 program Gotong Royong membersihkan kawasan tapak Kelab Alami Nature and Heritage Centre. Banyak usaha dari pelbagai pihak untuk merialisasikan impian yang telah lama diimpikan. Ucapan ribuan terima kasih kepada pihak yang terlibat dalam menjayakan perancangan ini. Terima kasih juga kepada Pak Ali & volunteer dari Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor yang sudi meluangkan masa & tenaga untuk membersihkan kawasan. Jasa kalian akan sentiasa dikenang.
Update for the 2nd day of communal work effort in the clearing of Kelab Alami Nature & Heritage Centre site. A lot of effort by multiple  parties was put into realising our dream of having proper Kelab Alami facilities. We'd like to thank everyone involved in making this project happen. We would also like to thank Pak Ali and his volunteers from the Johor Port Authority (LPJ) for contributing their time and effort in the clearing of the site. What an amazing day for Kelab Alami! Our dream is actually becoming reality... A million thanks to everyone who pitched in with the gotong-royong over the past week. They  worked from morning til evening every day to ensure that the site is cleared. We are extremely proud and humbled by the support and belief in us - especially the Johor Port Authority, the Port of Tg Pelepas, the local community, the Kelab Alami Youth Rangers and our cooperative members. We couldn't have done it without you...

Pada hari ini, kami telah menyertai beberpa perbincangan tentang perancangan masa hadapan yang akan berlaku. Terima kasih kepada pihak pengurusan Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor (LPJ) & Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) dan beberapa pihak lagi, kerana turut serta untuk membantu merealisasikan impian dalam Community Sustainability.

Untuk pengetahuan semua, KANHC akan berpusat di hadapan masjid Tg Kupang dalam waktu terdekat. Gotong royong pembersihan kawasan juga akan diadakan pada 10&11 Oktober 2020. Jika anda berminat untuk menyertai aktiviti gotong royong ini sebagai volunteer, anda boleh hubungi Hakimi Bakri (014-2580081). Terima kasih kepada semua pihak yang banyak membantu.
Today, we had discussions with the management of both the Johor Port Authority (LPJ) and the Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) on Kelab Alami's plans to realise our Community Sustainability goals.

When it is finally ready, the Kelab Alami Nature & Heritage Centre (KANHC) will be located opposite the Tg Kupang mosque. We'll have a gotong-royong on 10th & 11th October 2020 to begin clean up work on site. If you would like to help out, please contact our coordinator, Hakimi Bakri (014-2580081) to register as a volunteer. Thank you to everyone who has helped to make this dream a possibility...

Nampaknya kami sudah boleh bermula kerja di kawasan KANHC baru... harap2 PKPB tiada halangan lagi. Kumpulan konsultan kami datang untuk memeriksa bangunan sejak gotong-royong untuk bersihkan bangunan. Memang jauh beza daripada keadaan yang asal (selepas dibiar lebih 20 tahun!). Terima kasih semua sebab sudi tolong kami dengan bebesar hati anda... walaupun kami hanya boleh kenang jasa dgn makanan tradisi kampung... (tapi tetap ada ketam & udang!)
With the MCO over and conditions looking like it's getting back to normal, work on our KANHC site can restart (we hope). Our consultants came over to have a look at its current state and plot how to move forward. Before anything can begin, we need the right approvals, plans and most importantly budget! It's a huge difference inside the building after the community gotong-royong and everyone is excited to get the project moving. Thank you everyone for doing so much for us when we can only repay your amazing generosity & kindness... with seafood!

Krew Kelab Alami dan nelayan Pendekar Laut serta Pengerusi Koperasi Alami Johor Berhad, Wan Salleh Junaini bergotong-royong untuk bersihkan bangunan bekas kilang Tobex yang berada di Kampung Tg Kupang. Pada masa hadapan, kawasan ini akan dibangunkan sebagai Kelab Alami Nature & Heritage Centre (KANHC). 

Pada masa yang sama kami juga ambil inventori kawasan untuk dapatkan senarai keadaan bangunan dan tetapkan apa yang perlu dibaiki dan pengubahsuaian.
The staff of Kelab Alami Mukim Tanjung Kupang, together with fishermen friends and Koperasi Alami Johor Berhad chairman Wan Salleh Junaini spent the day cleaning up the former Tenggara Asia Tobex Factory, the future home of the Kelab Alami Nature & Heritage Centre (KANHC).

A site inventory was also recorded during the gotong royong to determine what needed renovation.

Selepas perjanjian dengan Pelabuhan Tg Pelepas (PTP) & Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor (LPJ) untuk benarkan kami mengguna kawasan ~5 ekar di pengujung tanah LPJ (yang sedang disewa oleh PTP), kami buat 'site inspection' untuk tentukan bangunan yang ada adalah selamat. Semua jalan dengan lancar... kerja boleh mula!!!
In late February, after the signing of the MOU with Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) and Johor Port Authority (LPJ) for the rent-free tenancy to  run CSR environmental activities, the development consultants inspected the site and found the building was structurally safe.

Perunding pembangunan Razin Architects, Jurutera JRK Sdn Bhd (Jurutera Awam & Struktur), RMZ (Jurutera Mekanikal & Elektrik), ARH Jurukur Bahan Sdn Bhd (Juruukur Bahan) dan Jurukur Sejati (Juruukur), Pengurus Projek Tan Li Ann dan Dr Serina Rahman, pengasas Kelab Alami Mukim Tg Kupang berbincang tentang KANHC dengan Penasihat Projek Datuk Zamani Kassim, yang juga penaung Koperasi Alami Johor Berhad.
